A top Dubai security official wrote Friday that a Donald Trump presidency would cause a “clash of civilizations.”

Lt. Gen. Dhai Khalfan Tamim, deputy chairman of police and general security in Dubai, wrote the comments on Twitter, which referenced Samuel Huntington’s book “Clash of Civilizations.” He believed the conflict would arise between Trump and ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

“If Trump beats Hillary (Clinton), that means that the scenario of the clash of civilizations created by Samuel will come to light at the hands of the candidate and al-Baghdadi,” wrote Tamim, The Associated Press reports.

Huntington’s book believed that in the post-Cold War world the source of global conflict will be cultural.
