Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov lamented, “It’s an open secret for us that demonizing Russia and whatever is linked to Russia is unfortunately a mandatory hallmark of America’s election campaign.”

Peskov, who said that he had seen the video but was unsure if Putin had seen it, said, “We always sincerely regret this and wish the [U.S.] electoral process was conducted without such references to our country.”

According to Sky News, the Kremlin was not amused with the Instagram video. Trump’s ad begins with the phrase “when it comes to facing our toughest opponents” then transitions to footage of Russian president Putin wrestling. The video then shows footage of Clinton barking like a dog in an attempt to discredit her ability to handle America’s toughest enemies.
