Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] called Donald Trump a “sniveling coward” for tweeting an unflattering image of his wife, Heidi.

While speaking at a press gaggle on Thursday, Cruz said, “It’s not easy to tick me off. I don’t get angry often. But you mess with my wife, you mess with my kids, that will do it every time. Donald, you’re a sniveling coward, leave Heidi the hell alone.” (RELATED: Trump Retweets Photo Mocking Ted Cruz’s Wife’s Looks)

Cruz was then asked if he would support Trump if he were the nominee, and the Texas senator replied, “I’m going to beat him for the nomination… Donald Trump will not be the nominee. The reason why Republicans are coming together and uniting is because Donald Trump is a train wreck.”

It turns out, Cruz’s “sniveling coward” line was used in  “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Things That Go Bump in the Night (#2.22) and “The Beverly Hillbillies”. (RELATED: Trump Thinks Cruz Steals Lines From This Famous Actor)

In He-Man, Skelator says, “Why Glitch, how really unpleasant it is to see you, you sniveling coward.”

And in “The Beverly Hillbillies,” Boston Strong Girl’s father says to Granny, “Where are those sniveling cowards from Tennessee?” Granny replies, “There ain’t no such thing as a ‘sniveling coward from Tennessee!’ I’m from Tennessee!”

And the father retorted, “Then you’re a sniveling coward!”
