Ben Carson said the media only wants to talk about “your momma” instead of focusing on policy during an interview with Chuck Todd Friday on “MSNBC Live.”
“It is not just Donald Trump. It is been my beef the whole time when I was running,” Carson said. “Nobody wants to talk about policy, including you guys in the media, you just wanted to talk about this person said this about you or this person said this about your mama.”
“When are we going to mature to the point where we actually focus on those issues and make them answer those questions?” Carson asked.
Todd interrupted saying, “Well wait a minute, Dr. Carson… your on here as a surrogate for Donald Trump and you are complaining about the fact that you know your momma said this– a lot of people are going to hear you said that, it’s your candidate that has taken this conversation to this low road that you are complaining about.”
“Yeah but you know, he can’t do that by himself. Other people have to join in. And my point being, that we as a nation, all of us need to understand that we need to move to a different level. The problem that we face and that the future generations face are very significant, much beyond the kind of chatter that we’re getting into here.”
