Villanova: The Wildcats put the biggest beat-down in Final Four history on Oklahoma, shooting better than 70 percent. That will almost certainly not happen tonight. Stifling defense has allowed the Wildcats to run teams right off the floor and out of the stadium. The only close game they’ve played was against Kansas, and they controlled the tempo of that game from start to finish. Villanova’s entire strategy is to get open looks in the paint by spreading the floor with shots from the perimeter. That strategy will be a lot harder to execute against UNC’s athletes.

North Carolina: There’s only one point you need to know about North Carolina, and that is the fact Brice Johnson is the most athletic player in college basketball. Johnson has dominated all year, averaging 17 points per game and more than 10 rebounds. He stands at 6’9″ with jumping ability that would make some people think he has springs in his shoes. North Carolina isn’t a particularly good three-point shooting team, but that has hardly tempered their success thanks to Johnson’s ability to do whatever he wants in the paint. Oklahoma didn’t have a big guy that could play down low against the Villanova defense. That’s a problem UNC certainly isn’t worried about.
