Shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the New Republic had a total “whoops” moment on Twitter.
The liberal magazine tweeted — then deleted — a request to Republican front-runner Donald Trump: “fuck me daddy.”
The tweet received over 130 retweets before being deleted roughly ten minutes after posting.
Despite its vulgarity, some approved of the message.
The New Republic then blamed the gaffe on Tricia Lockwood.
Thanks to @TriciaLockwood for taking over our Twitter account. Her piece on #Trumplandia: https://t.co/Q3rqV7Qsv2 pic.twitter.com/CxOSRGRlKn
