House Speaker [crscore]Paul Ryan[/crscore] told reporters Tuesday that his refusal to be nominated for president is not the same as when he said he was not interested in being Speaker of the House.

When it was noted to Ryan that people are skeptical of his adamant declaration of not being interested in the presidency considering his past remarks about not wanting his current speakership post, Ryan replied:

“Apples and oranges. Speaker of the House is a far cry from being President of the United States.I was already in the House. I was a congressman. I took a responsibility from Congress. That is entirely different than getting the nomination for President of the United States by your Party without running for the job, so a complete non sequitur.”
