On Thursday’s broadcast of Fox Sports’ “The Herd,” guest host Jason Whitlock delivered a lengthy criticism of newly-retired Laker great Kobe Bryant.
“Sports are a team endeavor,” Whitlock started, “Especially as it relates to basketball.”
“[Kobe] destroyed a franchise. His narcissism and selfishness destroyed a franchise,” he added. “The Lakers are a laughing stock and just had the most embarrassing season we’ve pretty much seen an NBA team have.”
Whitlock also criticized Magic Johnson for calling Kobe the greatest Laker.
“No he’s not, and Magic knows it… a lot of times he wasn’t even in the top five.”
