George Clooney says in an interview set to air on Sunday that the amount of money he’s raising this weekend for Hillary Clinton is “obscene.”

“Yes, I think it’s an obscene amount of money,” the Academy Award winning actor tells “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd.

“You know we had some protesters last night when we pulled up in San Francisco, and they’re right to protest, they’re absolutely right, it’s an obscene amount of money,” Clooney added.

The “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” star hosted a fundraiser for the Hillary Victory Fund on Friday in San Francisco where, for a mere $353,400, couples had the opportunity to sit at a table with the actor, his wife Amal, and the Clintons.

Clooney will host another event Saturday night at his Studio City home. Tickets there top out at only $100,000, according to reports. Director Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg are slated to attend the gala.

Sources told Deadline that the two events will generate $15 million when all is said and done, with proceeds being divvied up between Clinton’s campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and various state party committees. In his interview with Todd, Clooney also acknowledged that Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is right to criticize the fundraisers.

“The Sanders campaign, when they talk about it, is absolutely right, it’s ridiculous that we should have this kind of money in politics, I agree completely,” Clooney said.
