Barack and Michelle Obama donated $64,066 to charity in 2015, however only $1,500 of that was to a church.
On Friday, the Obama’s filed their joint return and reported a gross income of $436,065. They paid $81,472 in total tax for an effective federal income tax rate of 18.7 percent.
The Obama’s donated $2,000 to the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation, $1,500 to AIDS United, and $1,500 to St. John’s Church.
