Sarah Palin criticized ESPN for firing sportscaster Curt Schilling over a post he shared on Facebook opposing transgender people using bathrooms that don’t correspond to their biological sex.

Palin wrote in Facebook post Thursday, “ESPN continues to screw up” with a link to a Hollywood Reporter article about Schilling’s firing, and a meme that said “Fundamentally Transforming America -B. Obama.”

Schilling had posted on his social media account a picture of a man wearing a blond wig, ripped clothing that showed his chest and belly, in stockings and heels. Alongside the photo read the message “LET HIM IN! to the restroom with your daughter or else you’re a narrow-minded, judgmental, unloving racist bigot who needs to die.”

The post was later deleted.

Wednesday the sports channel issued the following the statement: “Curt Schilling has been advised that his conduct was unacceptable and his employment with ESPN has been terminated,” as reported here.

Last year Schilling was suspended after sharing a post on social media comparing ISIS to Nazis.
