[crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] repeated a line from the basketball movie “Hoosiers” at a campaign event in Indiana.

On Tuesday, the Republican presidential candidate at a campaign stop in Knightsown, Ind. was speaking to supporters on the Hickory basketball court when he asked one of his aides, standing nearby on a ladder, if he had a measuring tape, the Washington Examiner reported.

“Do you have a tape measurer with you?” Cruz said. “Tell me something: How tall is that basketball rim? Ten feet. You know, the amazing thing is that basketball rim here in Indiana — it’s the same height as it is in New York City and every other place in this country.”

The Texas senator then went on to say “and there is nothing that Hoosiers cannot do.”

The remarks duplicate a scene from the classic high school basketball movie “Hoosiers” in which the coach is reminding his team that the court they are about to play on for the big game is the same as the one they played on that got them there.
