Will Ferrell has been picked to play Ronald Reagan in the upcoming movie centered around the late president’s time in office.

The actor/comedian has been slotted to play the former president in the movie simply titled “Reagan,” Variety reports.

According to the report, the movie will focus primarily on Reagan’s second term in office when “he falls into dementia and an ambitious intern is tasked with convincing the commander-in-chief that he is an actor playing the president in a movie.”

Ferrell will reportedly help produce the film. However, a director has yet to be picked.

The actor has taken on the role of president in the past, most notably as former President George W. Bush on Saturday Night live comedy sketches.

Ferrell also starred with Zach Galifianakis in the 2012 political comedy “The Campaign” playing a congressman embroiled in a scandal while running for re-election.
