Amanda Carpenter, a former aide to Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] and current CNN political commentator, publicly critiqued her former boss this week for talking too much.

In an article in Conservative Review Friday, Carpenter blasted Cruz’s Wednesday speech, where he announced Carly Fiorina as his running mate.

“The words that come out of his mouth were good,” Carpenter wrote. “But there were so many of them.”

According to Carpenter, Cruz’s speech had “no clear beginning, point, and conclusion.”

Instead, “it was a rambling list of arguments Cruz felt he should make. There was no story for listeners to follow at all,” Carpenter wrote.

Instead of bringing Fiorina to the stage quickly, Carpenter noted that Cruz talked for “well over 30 minutes.”

Cruz “talked. And talked. And talked. And talked. Repeating points he’s made so many times before,” Carpenter said.

She said it was “a damper on an otherwise flawless rollout.”
