Al Sharpton thinks it “was so inappropriate” for comedian Larry Wilmore to call President Obama “nigga” at Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ dinner.

“I was offended by Larry Wilmore just referring to him with the n-word, I’ve got to say that again,” the civil rights activist said on his MSNBC show Sunday morning.

“I just thought that was so inappropriate, that the stature the president has, and I wouldn’t use the n-word anyway, I just thought that was a bit much.”

Wilmore drew mostly negative reviews for his overall performance, but it was his sign-off that earned the biggest blowback.

“So, Mr. President, I’m going to keep it a hundred. Yo Barry, you did it, my nigga,” Wilmore said at the end of his set.

Obama didn’t seem to mind the use of the pejorative. He jumped out of his chair to shake hands and half-hug Wilmore, who hosts Comedy Central’s “The Nightly Report.” (RELATED: Comedian To President At White House Correspondents’ Dinner: ‘You Did It, My Ni**a’)
