During a Tuesday interview with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, Hillary Clinton said she has “absolutely” no personal concerns and is running for president to help people like coal miners in West Virginia.

“I have absolutely no personal feeling of concern about me,” the former secretary of state told Mitchell. “I’m concerned about people like him and his family. That’s why I came here.” (VIDEO: Laid Off Coal Worker Confronts Hillary Over Her Stance On Coal)

“I am well aware of the politics of West Virginia,” Clinton continued. “It’s gotten increasingly challenging for Democrats to be successful.”

“Unfortunately, the political partisan attack on the efforts of our country to move more quickly toward a cleaner energy future have taken a toll.”
