Rachel Maddow says that the voters in Indiana have given Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] “a one-finger salute” and have said “we have no interest in you.”
During MSNBC’s post-Indiana primary coverage, Maddow said, “The fact is, big picture, there was no way, there has been for several weeks now, there has been no way for Ted Cruz to get the nomination any other way than a contested convention.”
Citing the mathematical impossibility to become the nominee, Maddow said Cruz “can’t do it by winning anything. So that hasn’t technically changed tonight. It’s just shown the only thing that’s different tonight for Ted Cruz, in terms of the math, is that the voters have given him, in effect, a one-finger salute in Indiana and said you can give us everything you have to offer, we have no interest in you.”
“This is a state where you have a better chance than anywhere else left in the country and the answer is ‘No’ by double digits,” Maddow said.
