In the early 1600s, legendary philosopher Galileo was exiled by the Catholic Church for heresy. He was a vain and argumentative genius who suggested the Sun — not Earth — was the center of our Solar System.
Dismayed at his lack of fanfare, Galileo wrote his friend and fellow astronomer Johannes Kepler, expressing his frustration with detractors of his theory:
“My dear Kepler… what do you have to say about the principal philosophers of this academy who are filled with the stubbornness of an asp (snake) and do not want to look at either the planets, the moon or the telescope, even though I have freely and deliberately offered them the opportunity a thousand times? … These philosophers shut their eyes to the light of truth.”
Galileo was right, but he was still banished, doomed to lifelong house arrest by the Catholic Church. His antagonistic approach to the establishment lead to his downfall.
The reaction to Galileo, led by the Catholic Church, revealed a dizzying flaw in human organization, that when one group gains too much power, it will discard truth as heresy to maintain and uphold its power, especially against undiplomatic personalities.
Pope Paul V even ordered Galileo “to abandon completely… the opinion that the sun stands still at the center of the world.”
Fast forward 400 years to 2016. There is a man running for President — braggadocios and bullish — and he’s being trashed just like Galileo.
It’s Trump. He ridicules the leftist propaganda machine, its brainless Hollywood cohorts, and their power-hungry political enablers. He openly mocks neoconservative warmongers and corporatist profiteers. His message is clear. They don’t know what they’re doing. Only he has the answers.
He exposes the establishment’s impact on daily American life — and they want to crucify him for it.
He supports his claims with ample evidence and the establishment attacks him as racist and sexist.
Trump famously said some Mexicans who illegally enter America aren’t Mexico’s best. How could anyone disagree? Of course some are not the best. I’m part Mexican, and I’m very aware that the best Mexicans don’t come illegally with guns and drugs via rural Texas. They apply before arrival or take a plane.
Trump promises a border wall between American families and the incredibly violent and lawless region of northern Mexico, known for rampant human trafficking, drug funneling, gang warfare, and murder.
But a wall, something Clinton voted for multiple times, is now deemed hateful. Globalist Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg calls a wall fearful, and advocates bridges be built instead. Pope Francis calls this un-Christian. Yet Zuckerberg and Francis both live behind walls. As does Obama, whose secret service seeks to heighten the White House wall from six feet to 11 feet.
Who do these dudes think they are? Well, they’re the powers that be. A pope, a billionaire, and a U.S. president. That’s a trio begging to become a punchline.
Hillary Clinton condemns gun use for self protection, yet surrounds herself with a crowd of armed guards. Trump trounced her on that snafu.
Merkel called Trump a threat to peace and social cohesion, while she destroyed German society through destructive policies and unfettered waves of unnecessary immigration.
Trump argues that if Parisians had guns, many could have survived the nightclub slaughter, because bullets would go in both directions. Gun snatchers call this stupid and foolish. Do they honestly believe this?
How else could Parisians in nightclubs defend themselves? With cutlery and mic stands? Brawling with broken bottles? A champagne saber?
History is replete with the bashing of bold truth. Those in power utilize every dying breath they have to subvert and vilify the truth-speaker.
Trump is Racist! Well, why is Trump winning the Black, Hispanic, and Muslim vote among registered Republicans? Why do people think ‘Mexican’ is a race, and not a nationality?
Trump is Sexist! Well, why is Trump doing better with Republican women than any other candidate? Why does he employ, love, and raise such incredible women?
Trump will destroy America! How? By actually protecting it? By killing our enemies and supporting our allies? By strengthening job security for millions? By saying no to wars Clinton supported?
Trump is Hitler! Really? What about his stunning Jewish daughter Ivanka? Do people really think he believes in a master race? Have they watched a single episode of The Apprentice? Does anyone really think he’d start a global blitzkrieg just because Americans are cheering at his rallies?
Trump is a Jerk! Yes, but he’s our jerk — and a perfect antidote to the poison of political corruption.
Dear establishment, the world is exactly how it is, not how you wish it were. Look through Galileo’s telescope, watch the heavens move, and you might learn something.
The ‘bigots’ who support Trump are not heretics, and just as the Earth is not the center of the universe, neither is the establishment. Get used to it.
