Troubled NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel appeared in a Dallas courtroom to face a judge on misdemeanor assault charges.

The former Heisman winner was ordered by the Judge Roberto Cañas to have absolutely no contact with his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley and he also can’t possess any firearms. The former Texas A&M star is accused of beating his ex-girlfriend during an argument in January. He could face up to a year in jail if convicted.
