Donald Trump says Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly is “terrific” and that they have made peace.
Appearing on ABC’s “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos on Sunday, Trump addressed Hillary Clinton’s criticism of him for, in his words, speaking “a little bit harshly to Megyn Kelly.”
Trump said, “Hillary Clinton. The only thing she has going, she plays the woman card 100 percent. I saw her in a speech, ‘Well Donald Trump spoke a little bit harshly to Megyn Kelly.’ Well, Megyn Kelly was really terrific.”
The presumptive Republican nominee added that Kelly “called me and came up to my office. She wanted to make peace. And, we did. We did. I mean, it was very nice.”
Trump and Kelly have sparred during the primary months over tough questions from the first Republican Primary debate back in August 2015.
Last month, Kelly met with Trump at Trump Tower and agreed to hold an interview together during a FOX Broadcasting Special on May 23. (RELATED: Megyn Kelly Meets With Donald Trump)
