Justin Bieber, was recently criticized for shaving his blonde dreadlocks, but getting a face tattoo may top that.
The pop-singer posted a picture on his Instagram account, on Sunday, of a small cross tattoo on his face under his left eye. The caption next to the picture reads, “Resting up for the show in Philly it’s gonna be a good one mark my words.”
Jonboy, the tattoo artist who reportedly did the work, told US Weekly that Bieber wanted the face ink as a reminder of the singer’s life journey. “It represents his journey in finding purpose with God.”
Bieber reportedly isn’t new to tattoo’s sporting some 50 on his body. Including a “pair of wings on his back” and a large cross.
In a GQ interview earlier this year, the singer said he would consider getting a face tattoo if it’s done right and when he’s older.
“I think if they’re done right, they could be cool, but nothing supercrazy all over the face,” he said. “Maybe when I’m really old, not super old, but maybe, like, 40’s or 50’s or something. One above my eyebrow or something small.”
