Sheriff Paul Babeu blasted Barack Obama’s lack of handling illegal immigration insisting, “There are no consequences for breaking immigration law.”

Appearing on Fox News’s “Your World” on Thursday, host Neil Cavuto asked Babeu why ICE or other law enforcement do not arrest illegal immigrants who are protesting and the Arizona sheriff said that it was “because they take the approach that it would be infringing on their freedom of speech.”

“But what about the other laws that they’re breaking,” Babeu asked rhetorically. “And that’s where there is complete — when it comes to immigration laws — there is no debate here, it’s complete lawlessness.”

“There are no consequences for breaking immigration law and that’s what we have here,” Babeu argued. “That’s why we see 131 percent increase in families coming across [the border] over the past six months alone, the Mexican border into the United States.”

According to Babeu, “[T]he message has gone out, ‘make it to the border and you’re home free.’ There’s deferred action for 12 million to 20 million plus illegals right now under Obama and sadly, Hillary Clinton has already announced, gone a step further than Obama and says that she’s going to actually put them on a path to citizenship.”

“This is outrageous, it’s unacceptable, anybody who questions whether they can support Donald Trump or not, there’s such a stark contrast, our safety, not only our communities but our entire country, our national security is on the line here.”

Babeu concluded that “there is no real choice when it comes to do we support Donald Trump, it’s a resounding ‘yes.'”
