Oscar Isaac says he’s very annoyed with the role that Donald Trump is playing in the election and takes his stance on immigration personally.

The actor known to “Star Wars” fans as “Poe Dameron,” on a break from shooting the next movie in the series, told a Rolling Stone magazine reporter that he’s irritated by Trump’s rise.

“The problem is it’s less about the guy that’s saying it, and more that he’s being the mouthpiece for a large part of the population,” he added. “Because that’s me, that’s my family. We’re immigrants.”

“What could be positive about it is that Trump could help to rally a lot of disparate parts of Latin America together,” Isaac continued. “Because Latino is not a race – it’s a culture. There’s Chinese Latinos, there’s very white Latinos, there’s very dark Latinos, there’s black Latinos. There’s all sorts of variants – it’s not one thing.”

Isaac talked about how the topic of immigration really hits home. His father is Cuban, and left for the U.S. right before the revolution to attend medical school in Guatemala, where he met the actor’s mother. Isaac said his family brought him to America when he was only five months old.
