I’m never voting for Donald Trump or pretending it’s a good idea to vote for him, but I’m not entirely unsympathetic to the argument that hey, at least he’s not Hillary Clinton. We can quibble over which one is worse, the criminal or the lunatic, but there’s no denying that they are indeed two separate biological entities. If that’s enough for you, then do whatever your conscience will allow. After all, what’s bad for Hillary is good for America. At least until President Trump starts a nuclear war after Kim Jong Un calls him a big fat dummy.

No matter who wins, we all lose. But at least I can enjoy the spectacle as yet another completely unacceptable presidential candidate drives that miserable old harridan up a wall.

Amie Parnes, The Hill:

Fury against Bernie Sanders is growing in ClintonWorld.

In public, Clinton aides and allies have kept their anger checked, decrying the rowdy outbursts at Nevada’s state convention last weekend but saying they believe Sanders will ultimately do the right thing by helping to unite the Democratic Party.

Behind the scenes, however, they are seething that statements by the Vermont senator are just making matters worse by further alienating his supporters from Clinton…

“This is the worst-case scenario and the one people feared the most,” said one Clinton ally and former Clinton aide.

“Unfortunately, he’s choosing the path of burning down the house,” the ally said. “He continues with character attacks against Hillary. He continues with calling the Democratic Party corrupt and he not only risks damaging Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party but he’s currently doing it.”

Cool.

At this point, I applaud anything that damages any political party. Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans represent me. I hope they tear each other, and themselves, apart. I no longer have an emotional stake in this race, if I ever really did, so I’ll just watch and laugh as they feebly claw at each other for the power that is their only reason for existing.

In a way, this whole thing is really freeing. I don’t even have to pretend anymore that anything matters. No matter who wins, at least I’ll get to laugh at the losers.

All of which is to say: Go, Bernie, go!

I hope he defies these crybabies as long as possible. And when he inevitably drops out, I can’t wait to bask in the schadenfreude as his unhinged adherents lose whatever’s left of their minds.
