Dave Matthews Band says they will not cancel their North Carolina show later this month, but will donate a portion of the proceeds to “equality” organizations.

In a statement Monday, the band said despite the states current law against the transgender community, they will not do the same as other performers and cancel their upcoming show. Adding they will donate a portion of the money they make to five organizations that support the LGBT community, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“Equality groups American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Lambda Legal, ACLU of North Carolina, Equality NC and Time Out Youth,” were named as receiving a portion of the proceeds in the statement.

In March, state legislators passed a bill in North Carolina that said transgender people must use the bathroom that matches the gender on their birth certificate, rather than the one they identify with for government buildings.

The statement also said that the group NC Needs You helped the band pick out which groups would get the money. NC Needs You has encouraged performers rather than cancel shows in the state, to perform and help bring awareness to the current issue.

To date several big names have canceled shows in the state over the bathroom bill including Bruce Springsteen, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, and Ringo Starr.
