Donald Trump says that he would have “no problem” calling on Congress to issue a declaration of war to fight terrorism.

Appearing on Fox News’s “The O’Reilly Factor” on Monday, host Bill O’Reilly asked if Trump would call on Congress to issue a declaration of war against to fight ISIS, Al Qaeda, and Taliban.

Trump insisted, “It wouldn’t bother me at all doing that, we probably should have done that in the first place.”

Noting that the war on terror is not “a traditional war” like World War II where the enemy wore uniforms, Trump said, “This is a war against people who are vicious, violent people that we have no idea who they are, where they come from. We are allowing tens of thousands of them into our country now so on top of wars on foreign land wait ’til you see what happens in the future. It’s probably not going to be pretty. I hope I’m wrong about that, but it’s probably not going to be pretty.”

O’Reilly then pushed back regarding Trump’s assertion to which the presumptive Republican nominee replied, “It’s not speculation. We’re allowing people into our country. We don’t know who they are, where they come from…”

When asked again if he would ask Congress for a declaration of war, Trump replied, “I would have no problem with doing it, Bill.”

“I’ll study the facts, but I think right now I would have no problem with doing it because we are at war. By the way, the world is at war.”
