While attempting to be “diplomatic,” Bernie Sanders’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver trashed Democratic National Committee Chair [crscore]Debbie Wasserman Schultz[/crscore] and called for her replacement.

Appearing on CNN’s “At This Hour With Berman and Bolduon” on Wednesday, Weaver was asked if he wanted Wasserman Schultz “out” as chair and he said, “I think what the party needs is a person at the end of the DNC who can help unify the party, who can bring the various factions of the party together.” (RELATED: Chaos At Nevada Democratic Convention As Bernie Fans Boo [crscore]Barbara Boxer[/crscore] [VIDEO])

Speaking on behalf of the Sanders campaign, Weaver said, “We have had good relations with many people at the DNC, I and others talk with senior DNC people on a regular basis. But there has been, you know, Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been I think unfair in many respects going back as early as the scheduling of the debates and scheduling on weekends, scheduling only a few, cutting off the sanders data right before Iowa in a move that was at least privately denounced by many people at the DNC.” (RELATED: Barbara Boxer Frightened By Bernie Sanders’ Supporters [VIDEO])

Wasserman Schultz “certainly came out and tried to put the gasoline on the whole Nevada thing. So I just think there’s been a pattern of conduct which calls into question whether she can really be the kind of unifying force we need in the Democratic Party.”

“So then do you want to see her go?” host Kate Bolduon asked.

“Well, I think someone else could play a more positive role, let me put it that way,” Weaver said.

“I think that’s one way of saying yes, Jeff,” Bolduon replied.

“I’m trying to be diplomatic,” Weaver claimed.
