Remember all those debates where then-presidential hopeful Ben Carson complained about how little time he got to speak his mind? In January, he ragged on Fox News moderators for not giving him enough time. In another debate, he asked, “Can someone attack me, please?”

Larry King got to the bottom of it during an interview.

King asked, “Do you think you were treated fairly in the debates?”

Carson replied, “Uh no, not in the slightest but it’s because they were looking for entertainment and they were looking for a fight. They weren’t looking for solutions to the multitudinous problems that we have. And it’s kind of a sad commentary on where we are as a nation. We really should be looking, I mean, look at what’s facing us right now, an incredible accumulation of debt … but we seem to be putting our head in the sand.”

Carson babbled about a lot of things, saying he’s glad he’s off the trail, that it’s a relief.

Was he too low-key?

“I think that the American people are not quite were I was. I think we’re more at a WWE stage right now, and that’s okay if that’s what it takes to get us stimulated.”

One thing he’s clear about: Donald Trump will be president. “People are absolutely disgusted with he status quo,” he said. “…And the people are saying enough of this.”
