NBC reports that West Dallas motorists were treated to three different messages on their morning commutes.
- “Bernie for President”
- “Trump Is a Shape-Shifting Lizard”
- “Work Is Cancelled — Go Back Home”
Texas Department of Transportation spokesman Ryan LaFontaine claimed all of the hacked signs belong to an independent contractor, who believed they had been shut off and locked down over the holiday weekend.
The prank messages ran for aproximately one hour Tuesday morning before DOT removed the signs from their power sources.
