Kit Harington said in a recent interview that there is sexism in Hollywood against men adding he is more than just his “looks.”

In a recent interview, the 29-year-old “Game Of Thrones” actor suggested that while women experience sexism in Hollywood, so do men, according to Business Insider. Adding that he himself has had to deal with it on more than one occasion. (RELATED: Jon Snow’s Fate Revealed In ‘Game Of Thrones)

“I think there is a double standard,”he said. “If you said to a girl, ‘Do you like being called a babe?’ and she said, ‘No, not really,’ she’d be absolutely right.”

“I like to think of myself as more than a head of hair or a set of looks,” he added. “It’s demeaning. Yes, in some ways you could argue I’ve been employed for a look I have.”

“But there’s a sexism that happens towards men,” he continued. “There’s definitely a sexism in our industry that happens towards women, and there is towards men as well…At some points during photo shoots when I’m asked to strip down, I felt that.”

Social media blew up over his comments and the actor has been widely criticized for what he said and some have suggested he mixed up “objectify” and sexism.

Last year, Harington made news over similar comments when he told a reporter with New York Post’s Page Six that it was demeaning when people called him a “hunk.”
