A Seattle-based burlesque performer who goes by the name Maggie McMuffin was recently not allowed to board a flight out of Boston because her shorts were “too short,” according to the flight crew.

McMuffin was told she needed to wear something else, then quickly ran to another terminal to purchase longer shorts for $22 before being allowed to board her flight.

McMuffin told KIRO-TV, “The flight crew had discussed it and the pilot had decided that I needed to put something else on or I would not be allowed to board the flight.”

The airline, Jet Blue, has since apologized, given her a $200 voucher, and reimbursed her for the cost of the shorts.
