Presumptive nominee Donald Trump closed out the Republican race in style Tuesday night, as New Jersey Republicans appeared to give him his biggest win of the entire primary cycle.

Since becoming the presumptive GOP nominee in early May, Trump has won all GOP contests by big margins, but his New Jersey win was even more massive than usual. Results show Trump amassing a whopping 81 percent of the vote, while Ohio Gov. John Kasich was second with about 12 percent and Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] had a mere 6 percent. If those numbers hold up, Trump will surpass what was previously his best performance, 77 percent in West Virginia.

Trump benefited from the state’s close proximity to his home base of New York, as well as an early endorsement from Gov. Chris Christie, who gave Trump his backing after ending his own presidential run in February.

Trump’s strong performance also shows GOP voters are continuing to solidify behind him, even though Republican leaders remain wary or are even un-endorsing him. While Trump has taken heavy flak in recent days for his comments about Hispanic Judge Gonzalo Curiel, it doesn’t seem to have swayed GOP voters, at least.

New Jersey’s 51 delegates are awarded on a winner-take-all basis. Once combined with the other contests Tuesday night, all of which Trump is expected to win, they will likely help take him above 1,400 delegates for the entire primary cycle. That’s more than 150 above the 1,237 needed for a majority.
