RICHMOND, Va.–Local and state law enforcement separated a brawl that erupted between Donald Trump protesters and supporters of the presumptive GOP nominee outside of a Trump rally Friday night.

Around 100 shouting protesters gathered to marched to Festival Park outside of the Richmond Coliseum at 9 p.m. when a small handful of young men wearing Trump campaign gear walked into the protest pen and began mocking the shouting demonstrators.

A shoving match began as both sides became more aggravated with the other until the scene began to escalate and turned into a muddled fight.

Law enforcement jumped the barriers of the pens and began pushing demonstrators, Trump supporters, and reporters aside. Police grabbed all the Trump supporters and pulled them out of the protest area.

According to reports, police detained five individuals, and one was charged for disorderly conduct.

After settling down, Trump protesters marched for one hour around downtown Richmond streets chanting “F—k Donald Trump” and “No Trump. No KKK. No fascist USA” among other statements.

Law enforcement, who appeared determined not to allow the environment to turn into the same riot witnessed outside of a Trump rally last week in San Jose, California, rode bicycles beside the protesters to keep them separated from those who attended the Trump rally earlier in the night. Some Trump supporters followed the march and used their cell phones to video-record it.

The march ended at Abner Clay Park at 10:30 p.m.
