Cord Cedeno — an Orlando man who frequented the Pulse nightclub where Mateen opened fire — recognized him from pictures on his profile on the gay dating app Grindr. Cedeno said he and Mateen messaged each other for a short time, but Cedeno eventually blocked him because he would only say “hi” repeatedly. Cedeno said several of his friends told him that Mateen used the app Adam4Adam to send pictures of his penis to other men, TMZ reported Wednesday.

His face was never in the pictures, Cedeno added.

Cedeno said he also saw Mateen at Pulse several times before.

“He’s been there several times,” Cedeno said. “I know that for a fact.”

A woman also told TMZ that she once messaged Mateen on the dating website Plenty of Fish about a year and a half ago.

She said he was “nice, normal, mentioned he had a child, but said he was single and looking for a good woman to marry.” (RELATED: 10 Things We Know About Omar Mateen — The Orlando Shooter)

She too eventually blocked him because he seemed “emotionally unstable.”
