A Hamilton, Va. coffee shop will offer guns and ammunition on the menu. One of the owners of the soon to be opened Bullets and Beans, Tammy Jones, told WUSA 9 News, “It’s very inviting, it’s very family friendly.  We want to do the firearms instruction. But you also have to have a coffee shop.”

The business is located at an old building once used as a bank in the 1880s. According to the report, the first floor has a two-door armored vault to store the firearms and another area is for customers to gather.

Instruction on the use of firearms and safety classes will also be available. The town already has a gun store but the Jones and her husband say they wanted to create a welcoming environment to those experienced with firearms or beginners.

Only one woman objected to the new business at a recent town meeting saying a gun store already existed in Purcellville.

“It’s retail. We can’t discriminate just because they sell firearms,” Hamilton Mayor David Simpson told WUSA.
