Iggy Azalea won’t be walking away from her engagement with Nick Young empty-handed, as the couple has mutually agreed that she will take back the classic 1962 Chevy Impala she gave Nick as a Christmas present in 2014.
But don’t feel bad for Nick: he’s walking away with something as well.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Lakers guard will be getting back the engagement ring he gave to Iggy when he first proposed. On the outside looking in, it appears as if Iggy got the short end of the stick on this deal.
The diamond ring Nick bought her is reportedly worth around $500,000, while the 1962 Chevy Impala is valued around $100,000. But, according to California law, the ring is supposed to go back to the purchaser in the event that nuptials are canceled.
Spectators saw the classic car being towed away from Nick’s house on Tuesday. However, Iggy let Perez Hilton know that this was a mutual decision between the two and not a messy battle over shared property.
The couple have been engaged for around a year, but their relationship hit the rocks when a video taken by Lakers teammate D’Angelo Russell surfaced that featured Young admitting to cheating on Iggy.
