Donald Trump’s former campaign manager says the presumptive Republican nominee has narrowed his list of potential running mates down to four “household names.”

Corey Lewandowski, who was fired from Trump’s campaign this week and was subsequently hired as a CNN contributor, told anchor Erin Burnett on “OutFront” that: “The list when I left was very, very short. It was ongoing conversations.”

He added: “It’s no more than four individuals right now.”

“The individuals who he is talking to about being part of that process have all agreed that they want to be part of that process,” Lewandowski said.

“And look, there’s been some speculation out there that people don’t want to be part of this,” he said. “It’s absolutely the opposite. Every person that he has talked to, every person that he has had an interest in talking to has reaffirmed with 100% certainty that they would be absolutely welcome on the ticket, they want to do this.”

“These are the absolute very best — they’re people that everyone will know. They’re household names. They’re people that he has said will help him achieve his legislative agenda,” he said.

Trump has said he wants someone with political experience as his vice president. Among those speculated about as possible candidates include former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
