Nigel Farage, the leader behind Britain’s exit from the European Union says there are “no” similarities between the United States’s current political climate and what drove them to leave the EU.

Appearing on Fox News’s “Your World,” on Monday guest host Trish Regan asked Farage if there were any “similarities” between the United States’s political atmosphere and Britain’s, and he replied emphatically, “No.”

“Your position, and you may have your problems — is nothing like ours,” Farage insisted. “We finished off until last Thursday with 70 percent of our laws being made by foreign institutions, with our own supreme court being overruled in Luxembourg and with an open bored to 500 million people. Whatever problems you’ve got in the U.S.A., they are nothing to what we’ve had as part of this Europe.”

“What we did last Thursday is we said, ‘We want our country back.’ And we voted for it. And we’ve got it back,” Farage proclaimed.
