Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s new communications director has a history of nasty tweets about the presumptive nominee.

Jason Miller, ex-communications adviser for Sen. Ted Cruz, just signed on as Trump’s new communications director Monday, intending to take the lead role over Trump’s campaign message and interactions on social media. ThingProgress recovered dozens of malicious anti-Trump tweets from Miller’s account, all of which had been recently deleted. The ex-Cruz aide posted some of the tweets just a few weeks ago.

Miller repeatedly referred to Trump as #SleazyDonald in the tweets, and mocked Trump as the “Carl Lewis of flip-flopping” for repeatedly changing positions on abortion.

“I have literally never seen anyone move with such speed,” Miller tweeted.

Miller also accused Trump of being a pawn for lobbyists representing foreign companies. “So which lobbyist wrote Donald Trump’s foreign policy speech today, and what foreign companies have they done work for?” Miller tweeted April 27.

In other tweets, Miller mocks the real-estate mogul for the controversies surrounding Trump University and puts Trump on blast for donating to the Democrat Attorney General of California Kamala Harris.

It’s not yet clear if the Trump campaign knew about the harsh comments before making the hire. According to ThinkProgress, the Trump campaign did not return a request for comment.
