CIA Director John Brennan admits that America has a “ways to go” before it can be said that there has been “significant progress” made against ISIS.

Speaking at the Council on Foreign Relations on Wednesday, Brennan said, “[W]e’ve made I think, some significant progress along with the coalition partners in Syria and Iraq where most of the ISIS members are resident right now.”

However, “ISIS’s ability to continue to propagate its narrative, as well as to incite and carry out these attacks I think we still have a ways to go before we’re able to say that we have made some significant progress against them.” (RELATED: CIA Admits US Has Not Reduced ISIS’s Global Terror Reach [VIDEO])

Earlier in June, in testimony before the Senate Intelligence committee, Brennan said that “our efforts have not reduced [ISIS’s] terrorism capability and global reach.”
