Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson welcomed presumed Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton to Chicago Monday, but his group, the Rainbow/PUSH coalition was less welcoming.

The handbill that introduced Clinton was long and thorough, mentioning that the former secretary of state was “the only first lady to ever be subpoenaed.” The pamphlet also mentioned Clinton’s “marriage endured the Lewinsky scandal of 1997.” The agonizing paragraph concluded with, “Clinton’s role as first lady drew a polarized response from the public.”

Journalist Mike Fourcher noticed the long introduction was identical to the Wikipedia article on the presumptive nominee as of Monday.

The Clinton campaign usually insists on writing its own material and introductions, even going so far as denying college and high school students the right to make their own introduction at events. The cardinal rule in writing Clinton materials is “never mention Monica Lewinsky.”

“A volunteer had a real brain freeze,” PUSH spokesperson Don Terry told reporters. “It was completely unintentional… It was not intentional to hurt her, we are sincere, not snarky.”

The Rainbow/PUSH coalition is the united name of two of Jackson’s past organizations. The Rainbow Coalition, founded in 1984, and People United To Serve Humanity, founded in 1971 were unified to work nationwide to pursue the american dream for all americans.

Our mission is to protect, defend, and gain civil rights by leveling the economic and educational playing fields, and to promote peace and justice around the world,” the group’s website states.

Likely black voters are overwhelmingly in favor of Clinton, with most polls returning a 90 percent or higher of blacks that have a favorable view of Clinton.
