Who knew there were still fancy coke busts?

In what may be the most exciting thing to happen to HuffPost since it took Donald Trump off its entertainment page, one of the site’s bloggers is one of 18 people involved in a Manhattan coke ring.

cocaine

He’s Alexander Mallory, a blogger for Arianna Huffington‘s news site and an “educational professional,” as he is described by Daily Mail. This could jar Huffington out of her slumber, right?

Mallory and the others — including a Fox News Business producer Katie Weinhofer — were charged with “criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.”

The ring reportedly sold $75,000 worth of cocaine.

According to his bio on HuffPost, Mallory is a 2007 graduate of Williams College. He graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Art History and Biology. Shortly after graduating, his bio reads, Mallory “worked as an SAT tutor for a national tutoring company. But he quickly became disillusioned with their corporate approach, defined by lackluster attitude and impersonal cookie-cutter teaching methods, and no longer wanted to work there. Alex felt confident that he could do a vastly better job of helping students achieve their goals, and so he started Competitive Edge Tutoring.”

HuffPost has covered lots of drug busts — there was this one and this one and this one. In 2013, the site covered a Manhattan drug ring where the perpetrators sold cocaine door to door.

But Friday’s news?

Radio silence.
