The Fourth of July is a great day to remember when former President George W. Bush threw out the opening pitch during the 2001 World Series after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Game three of the world series between the New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks was played in New York only a month after the attacks that killed thousands of Americans. (SLIDESHOW: These Barely Clothed Women Love Baseball)

Bush took the pitching mound as the crowd waited with anticipation. He ripped a pitch right down the strike-zone for freedom and the place went absolutely wild.
