Sure, Hillary Clinton Broke The Law And Lied About It, But SHE’S HILLARY CLINTON

What’s the point of power if you’re held to the same standards as everybody else? What’s the point of power if you can’t defy the rule of law, tell ridiculous lies about it, get away scot-free, and laugh at your enemies as they seethe helplessly? That’s the fun of it.

Remember this?

Never mind! Steve Guest reports:

On Tuesday, FBI Director James Comey said that “no charges are appropriate” for Hillary Clinton after an investigation into her private email arrangement as secretary of State.

During a press conference from FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C., Comey said, “Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case…”

“To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences,” Comey said. “To the contrary. Those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions, but that’s not what we’re deciding now.”

In other words: Yes, she clearly and flagrantly broke the law. Yes, she has lied about it every step of the way. Yes, if you did what she did, you’d face the consequences. But that’s just it. She’s not you. She’s Hillary Clinton.

What are you going to do about it? Nothing, that’s what. Too bad.

This is what was always going to happen. The Democrats have gone all-in on Hillary, and they’re not going to let a few silly laws stop them. Who’s going to stand in the way of the history-making First Female President of the United States? Some FBI guy you’ve never heard of? Yeah, right.

Later today, she’s going to step off Air Force One with Obama, and he’s going to tell everybody that she should be POTUS. And they’re both going to enjoy it all the more, secure in the knowledge that they’re above the law.

And, we’re being told, the only one who can stop her is this guy:

Yeah. Good luck with that.

Happy Birthday, America. Hope you like your present. If you don’t, even better.

P.S. Of course, the big story today will be: “Republicans pounce.”

P.P.S. laws lol
