“Star Trek” fans were excited to learn that William Shatner is scheduled to speak at this years Comic-Con.
The 85-year-old actor, best known for his role as Captain James T. Kirk, on the sci-fi television show will be the headline speaker at this year’s event in San Diego as part of a celebration of its 50th anniversary, according to Variety. The actor even joked with fans about whether there would be cosplay at the event.

Capt. Kirk will be joined by Jeri Ryan at Comic-Con on July 21-Sunday July 24.
