NBA superstar Dwyane Wade released an emotional letter after leaving the Miami Heat to sign with the Chicago Bulls.

News broke late Wednesday night that Wade would be signing a two-year deal with the Bulls worth $47 million. Soon after, Wade released his letter to the fans that have cheered him on since he was drafted in 2003.  (SLIDESHOW: This NBABombshell Girlfriend Is Almost Naked For Sports Illustrated)

The three-time NBA champion wrote in part:

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank the Miami community and especially #HEATNATION for all of their love and support over the years. It has been truly incredible. I am deeply moved and appreciative of the positive messages from my fans expressing that they want what’s best for me and I know they will support my decision. The memories including championship parades and five conference titles are incredible moments we have shared that will always remain close to my heart as I begin the next chapter of my life.

Wade’s departure is the second biggest news of the NBA offseason, second only to Kevin Durant signing with the Golden State Warriors.
