The Clintons are above the law. If you had any doubt about that, the events of this week should’ve erased it. They can do whatever they want and get away with it, because the rules and laws that apply to the rest of us don’t apply to them. They are set apart. They are inviolate. They are untouchable.
So why is that wingnut Trey Gowdy trying to apply the same standards to Hillary Clinton that he applies to everybody else? Why does he insist on browbeating FBI Director James Comey with facts and evidence, when it’s clear that facts and evidence have nothing to do with any of this?
In a world where the truth meant anything, this would be bad for Hillary. So she’ll be just fine.
The Democrats aren’t going to allow a few pesky laws to loosen their grip on power. Unless Trump gets his act together by some miracle, Hillary Clinton is going to be the next President of the United States. She will continue to do whatever she wants, and there’s nothing Trey Gowdy or anybody else can do about it.
Rules. Laws. Facts. Evidence. What you’ve seen and what you know. None of it means a thing. Speak truth to power all you like. Power doesn’t give a shit.
You might as well get used to this, America. You’ve got 8 more years of it comin’ right up.
