While the number of dead and wounded officers continued to climb early Friday morning, one Philadelphia-based black activist group posted a message on Facebook: “The revolution has begun.”

“Folks are gathering here at city hall in solidarity with what’s happening in Dallas demanding that when they shoot us we shoot back #BlackLiberation #BlackGunsMatter,” said the Facebook post from the Philly Coalition for REAL Justice.

The Facebook post referenced someone named Niecee Cornute, who allegedly was “snatched and detained in Dallas.” The Daily Beast reported that Cornute has ties to the African American Defense League, a group that has repeatedly called for the murder of white police officers and has been linked to Dallas shooter Micah Xavier Johnson. According to The Daily Beast, Cornute — who heads a group called the Black Women’s Defense League — was arrested by police in Dallas after the shootings began but was ultimately released.

The Philly Coalition referred to Cornute as “comrade” in the Facebook post.

“[Cornute] was detained and released because she has no involvement in the shooting. She was a demonstrator. She has been a person that has obviously been surveilled, not that she had anything to do with it,” Cornute’s lawyer, Malik Zulu Shabazz, said. Shabazz reportedly founded the African American Defense League, The Daily Beast reported.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Shabazz “is a racist black nationalist with a long, well-documented history of violently anti-Semitic remarks and accusations about the inherent evil of white people.” Shabazz is also a former leader of the New Black Panther Party who once accused the Jews of orchestrating the September 11 attacks.

By Saturday night, Cornute was reportedly out of police custody and in Philadelphia, where she participated in anti-police protests with the Philly Coalition, where protesters chanted, “Fuck the police!”

“Another protest leader, who identified herself only as Niecee from Dallas got within inches of the face of Police Inspector Michael McCarrick, commanding officer of the East Police Division. Other protesters crowded around as she taunted him,” the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Shabazz was reportedly present at the Philadelphia protests as well.

Cornute reportedly taunted Philadelphia police officers, yelling: “How much testosterone do you got?” One of the Philly Coalition’s leaders, Erica Mines, also taunted police officers, reportedly yelling: “The only thing different between you and me is that you got a weapon and I don’t. F- you! We ain’t scared of y’all!”

Mines replied to an email from The Daily Caller seeking comment, saying: “No!”

The Philly Coalition is planning a “Resistance March against the Capitalist & Racist Government” during the Democratic National Convention, which will be held in Philadelphia. The day before Johnson opened fire on Dallas police officers, Mines posted to the protest’s Facebook page: “The only gun control laws that need passing is that which disarms the police (trained assassins) and empowers the community to fight back against police brutality/ terrorism. It’s time we aim and shoot with the same veracity.”
