The Thursday morning release of names comes a week after Trump said the list would be made public. No reason was given for the delay.

Interestingly, the list includes most of the names thought to being considered for vice president — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions and Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn – but not Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.

The list includes members of the Republican establishment, including RNC chairman Reince Priebus, Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker Paul Ryan and House majority leader Kevin McCarthy. Others, like former presidential nominee Mitt Romney, former presidential candidate Jeb Bush and former president George W. Bush have said they won’t attend.

Several former primary rivals will speak, including Christie, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Dr. Ben Carson.

As expected, the list includes members of the family, including Melania Trump, Eric Trump, Donald J. Trump Jr., Tiffany Trump and Ivanka Trump.

It includes veterans like Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton, Benghazi survivor Mark Geist and retired United States Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell.

Another well-known non-politician, entrepreneur Peter Thiel, who founded PayPal, will speak. Well-known evangelicals like Pastor Mark Burns and Jerry Falwell Jr. are also speaking.

The RNC said this is a partial list and other names will be released before the convention begins on July 18. “The convention’s theme, ‘Make America Great Again,’ will focus on the core themes of Republican Presidential Nominee Donald J. Trump’s campaign: national security, immigration, trade and jobs,” the party said.
