“So You Think You Can Dance” winner Joshua Allen has been charged with domestic violence.

Allen, the fourth season winner, allegedly strangled his girlfriend back in April, chased her into a coffee store and threw a vase at her. He also is said to have vandalized the premises in June, according to reports.

TMZ is saying that he has officially been charged with two felony counts of willfully injuring his girlfriend; one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon; and four misdemeanor counts of battery, vandalism and violating a protective order.

Allen, 27, could face up to 10 years in state prison if convicted of all charges. The case is currently being handled by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.

Aside from his winning season on “So You Think You Can Dance,” Allen has also held roles in “Step Up 3D,” “Dance Your Ass Off,” “Community” and “American Horror Story.”

Allen returned to “So You Think You Can Dance” this season as a mentor but was suddenly replaced by Marko Germar before the first live episode on July 11. It’s clear now why he was not with the show for long.
